well as the genealogy database and the newspaper index,
Banbridge Genealogy holds original copies of Griffith's
Valuation of Rateable Property in Ireland for the Banbridge
area and for part of the Newry area, dating from 1864.
This lists owners of property
by townland against what they owned or rented and from
whom. Banbridge Genealogy Services also possess the corresponding
maps to go along with Griffith's, enabling a person to
pinpoint where their ancestor lived at that time.
